This is not a formal charity.  My oncologists office has a basket
of hats for chemo patients.  So if you would like to make a hat or
two they will be appreciated. 

They need to be very soft so that it doesn't irritate sensitive skin.
The best yarn for making the hats is Simply Soft.  It is easy to get
and inexpensive and is really soft.  Here is a great website to find
patterns for hats   http://www.headhuggers.org/

So if you find yourself with some extra yarn and a little time please
consider making a hat or two for a cancer patients.

10/17/2009 Beverly's invited us to make chemo hats at the Santa Maria
store.  Thanks to everyone we made 17 hats and lots of flowers to
decorate them!  Thanks to everyone for all the work and fun!

01/29/2010 I dropped some more hat off at the doctors office. 
They were thrilled!  They are usually to busy to comment on the hats
when I put them in the basket.  They wanted to thank everyone for being
so generous.
